ASG Offroad Brake/Chase Light Bar Installation Instructions

*Read all steps including sub-sections prior to installation*

If you don't have a rearview camera proceed to step 3.

  1. Attach camera to the ASG camera mount using the camera’s factory housing/bracket and the VHB type tape supplied by the camera manufacturer.

  2. Route the camera feed wire through the channel on the camera mount housing and and attach it to the lowest track on the SP X1's t-track system.

  3. Remove the factory LED brake light from camper.
    1. Super Pacific X1 campers – The brake light will be attached with VHB tape and/or threaded screws. If attached with VHB, lightly applying a heat gun to the perimeter of the light or letting the backside of the camper warm up in direct sunlight will aid in removal.
      1. Be careful if using a heat gun as it may damage the factory LED housing and/or camper.

  4. Clean and dry the surface area in preparation to mount the ASG light bar.

  5. Feed the light and camera wiring (if applicable) through the camper’s factory access hole and connect them to their respective sources (Red = positive, and Black = negative).

  6. Vehicle wiring may vary (for example, for third generation Tacomas, the solid blue wire within the brake wire harness (driver’s side) is what you’ll want to tap for the positive ASG red light wires).
    1. Super Pacific X1 campers on third generation Tacomas– If you’ve already wired up the SP brake light, you can tap into the red wire of the SP tail light harness for the positive ASG red light wires.

  7. FDM - 3D printed versions
    1. Peel back about 1” of the mounting VHB tape backing off of the back of the housing to create “pull tabs” by folding up/down the VHB tape backing (this exposes a bit of the VHB tape to allow you to position the light right where you want it without fully adhering to the camper).
    2. Center the light (from left to right) and lightly place the light bar against the upper most portion of the mounting surface (where the top of the camper meets the extruded aluminum t-track). Step back and confirm desired location and orientation.
    3. Once location/orientation is confirmed, remove the “pull tabs” you created and press the light bar firmly (don’t kill it) so the VHB tape fully adheres to the camper.
  8. CNC billet aluminum versions
    1. Loosen the outer most lights from the mount itself. This will only be one screw for each outer light.
    2. Thread in the passenger side attachment screw (the screw that attaches the light to the camper itself) snug, then loosen two (2) turns.
    3. Thread in the driver side attachment screw (the screw that attaches the light to the camper itself) snug.
    4. Tighten all four screws evenly to be snug...Don't over tighten to avoid damage to the light or camper and potentially stripping the threads.
      1. There may be variability from camper to camper between placement of the threaded inserts on the camper itself so you may need to adjust the thread order of the screws to allow for proper alignment.
      2. Some lubricant on the attachment screws may help with attachment to the camper as well.
    5. If needed utilize the included VHB sealant to provide additional protection from water intrusion.
  9. This is the most important part…step back once more to admire your new integrated light bar, and prepare for your next adventure as All Systems are Go for Offroad!
